URIS HALL – Upon entering the Thomas J. Watson Library of Business and Economics on Monday, Columbia Business School students were surprised to discover radical improvements in the library’s collection. As part of a regular effort to maintain a complete and relevant set of academic literature, Watson librarians emptied the useless, outmoded contents of the library’s stacks. A single copy of Donald Trump’s The Art of the Deal now lies on a shelf, supplanting tomes on international trade and corporate governance.
“The new configuration just made sense,” said Michael Blum, a Watson librarian. “It’s a waste to have thousands of books by the stupid Ivy League elite when we could have a single terrific book. I mean, it’s the second greatest book of all time – behind the Bible, of course.”
