Students Clamor for Summer Internship at Hooda Halal

Forget Jane Street—the most in-demand summer internship this year is at the food truck at 116th and Broadway. Summer applications for the coveted Hooda Halal internship program opened this fall, and interested students are ready to endure a brutal application process that involves six rounds of interviews, nine letters of recommendations, and a minimum requirement of a 3.95 GPA. “Sure, it’s grueling,” junior Wendy McDonald told the Fed, “but everyone knows that a Hooda internship is like LinkedIn gold.”

Company representatives have begun to reach out to students on Handshake and LinkedIn, offering a position for students who are curious, collaborative and have the drive to make things possible for clients and communities. The Halal-truck Industry is known for delivering high quality results and creative solutions to their clients, including innovative red-to-white-sauce ratios, meat combination acquisitions, intensive french-fry usage, and authentic solutions to local problems.

Hooda Halal will be inviting students from all majors and schools to an upcoming in-person event, where prospective interns will have the opportunity to learn directly from partners about the different divisions that make up one of our most important businesses in the fast-food sphere, including but not limited to meat-chopping, lettuce-grabbing, sauce-pouring, and cash-register manning. Applicants should be well versed in assigning charming nicknames to customers, such as “Brother” and “My Friend.” Selected interns will be able to receive college credit in the form of extra fries, no charge.
