Although Elon Musk and Grimes’s baby is just days old, X Æ A-12 has become the first robot admitted to the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He was born after the application deadline, but was able to hack the system through an advanced form of mind control.
Dean Mary C. Boyce commented, “What were we going to do? Say ‘no’? These are extraordinary circumstances for an extraordinary machine—err, child.”
There is also speculation that X Æ A-12 gained acceptance through a secret donation from his father. Boyce denied the allegations, claiming “the decision to rebrand ourselves as the Tesla School of Engineering and Applied Sciences has absolutely nothing to do with our acceptance of his son.”
In light of X Æ A-12’s acceptance, there have been serious revisions to the SEAS core requirements. For example, students can now receive credit for University Writing by writing a five page paper on how to pronounce “X Æ A-12.” Starting next semester, the final project for the Art of Engineering will be to build a Tesla Cybertruck from scratch. (X Æ A-12 will also be barred from all swimming and diving classes, due to concerns that he will short circuit upon entering the pool.)
Whether X Æ A-12 is Artificial Intelligence or human, he is now, most importantly, a lion.
